Sons of Butcher ha sido de las cosas que he descubierto en la televsion canadiense que vale la pena. Si solo por su cancion… Fuck the Shit, muy buena para viernes en la tarde harto del trabajo.
Sons of Butcher is a television show airing Monday – Thursday at 11 p.m. and Friday night at 9:30 p.m. & 2 a.m. et/pt on The Detour on Teletoon. It is animated using a variety of programs, put together using Macromedia Flash. The show follows the exploits of three main characters (Sol Butcher, Ricky Butcher, and Doug Borski), who operate a successful butcher shop called “Sons of Butcher Quality Meats” in the slums of Steeltown, a city located in an undisclosed part of Canada (modelled after Hamilton, Ontario). When not tending to their family butcher shop they are a Metal band, naturally called “Sons of Butcher”.
While the show is animated in Flash, the heads of the three main characters are actually recorded in live action, enabling the characters to show more emotion and use non-verbal communication through expressions.

“Imagos” is a series of imaginary hybrids constructed of enlarged photographs of various species of real butterflies, in whose abdomens are placed images of female genitals (which are of the same geographic origin as the represented butterflies). The artist juxtaposes women and butterflies as being objects of desire, raising questions regarding the representation of the female body, sexuality and identity. Ms. Harrsch believes that a woman’s search for her own desire as well as being desired is essential to the construction of her identity and the development of personality and psyche. In ancient Greek, “Psyche” meant butterfly as well as soul and mind – this body of work, no doubt, captures all three.

Los primeros 20 números de Sandman van a ser reeditados con nuevos colores. Mucha diferencia.
“Absolute Sandman” collects the first 20 issues of Neil Gaiman’s groundbreaking series, with 18 of the 20 stories completely re-colored. As can be seen by the example shown, the new colors look spectacular. The hardcover volume will be released in November. Wayne joked that new “Sandman” projects will depend on how well the $99 volume sells.
